Amazon Labor Union Rally
I had the honor of photographing the powerful workers who took on Jeff Bezos and won when they became the first unionized Amazon warehouse in the country! Chris Smalls was fired from Amazon in 2020 and created his own movement with JFK8 (Staten Island) workers from the ground up to unionize. Now they’ve made history. Without a doubt, he has sparked a new chapter for labor organizing in our country. Nothing beats his words after the votes first came in, “We want to thank Jeff Bezos for going to space, because while he was up there we were organizing a union”.
